Staying Fit While Gardening

Do you ever think about how your body moves when gardening? Do you get sore or worry that your shoulders and back are not up to the task? Changing how we move, and making slight micro adjustments to posture and position while we are in the garden might be the simple solution to extend our stamina and ability doing the things we love. Madeline Hooper runs a show on PBS called GardenFit where she and a personal trainer make housecalls and work with gardeners to create new and healthy movement habits. Listen to Margaret Roach’s interview of Madeline on her podcast “A Way to Garden” to learn more.
