The March to End Fossil Fuels

Yesterday Sunday September 18th, over 75,000 people joined to rally in mid-town Manhattan to push Biden and World Leaders to end Fossil Fuels. More than 700 Grassroots organizations came together to address the climate crisis leading up to the UN Climate Ambition Summit (happening this Wednesday). Community leaders including State Representative Jamaal Bowman, former Ireland President Mary Robinson, actress and activist Susan Sarandon, and many young environmental activists gave compelling speeches about the urgency of now. People addressed the importance of just transition of power, the movement for human rights and environmental safety, and more immediately the end to new Fossil Fuel projects. Check out the video below from Democracy Now on coverage from the Rally.
